Adapting and Building Stamina 20'-21'

This is a brief overview of what we were able to accomplish given the circumstances of the pandemic and its inherent educational challenges during the 20'-21' school year.

The Brahma Drama Podcast

Students created a series of podcast episodes of original or adapted stories about all things spooky, strange, and unusual. These 'radio theatre style' performances applied vocal techniques, writing skills, and group collaboration. Additionally, students learned how to use an online sound studio called Soundtrap. • Our high school Junior Varsity and Varsity theatre classes spent the majority of the spring semester adapting middle school stories into 'radio theatre style' performances using a collaborative sound studio program called Soundtrap.

  • If it weren’t for the pandemic, the pilot year of this project would have been an in person 30 minute performance. Rather than only choosing a small number of stories, we accepted all 35 submitted stories from the middle school advanced classes and adapted them into virtual performances.

  • The week of April 19th, 2021 our high school students met with their middle school student authors and shared their adaptations over Zoom. It was wonderful!
